Who knew 8, 9 and 10 year old GIRLS could hit a foul ball over the fence at about 65 MPH?
Well, they can and my swelled up lower back is proof of it.
There is really no better way to describe the moment except for fast, furious and all surreal!
I think it hurt everybody else at the game a little bit more than me as they had to witness it all happen in S-L-O-W motion effect...you know like there's really nothing you could do, but scream "LOOK OUT FOR THE BALL!!" and watch it all take place as it may!
But...it was well worth it for I used my back to protect my boy from getting whacked in the face and I'd do it again to have been able to capture these priceless videos of my First Born daughter whack a few balls of her own!
Way to go SLUGGER!
We are proud of you!!!
LOVE,
Mommy, Daddy, Mia
AND
Nico(who apparently was worn out after all the events that took place, thank you God for protecting that sweet angelic face!!!)

Way to go Rylee! You always try to do your best!
Love Poppop
great play at bat!..and as for your back, a great massage can do wonders.
guess your back became the mitten to the ball.
Sounds like you have quite the ball player! So glad you were not seriously injured by the ball too...definitely not the way you want to start out the season! I enjoy softball season too! My niece is ten and has been playing since she was old enough to play tee-ball. I always enjoy going to cheer on my little "Maddog22"...that is Madison's nickname...lol
Woohoo! She did GOOD! As for you... ouch! I am sorry. This happened to me once except it was my left eye and my Dad threw the ball at me when I wasnt looking. How could he do that to his only daughter?! Hope you arent too sore today!
