Why Wait?

Until Christmas to celebrate Jesus' Birthday?
I know this could strike an all-out debate that would never come to a unanimous agreement...sooo...I am asking myself why wait? Of course...I do accept comments, complaints, or answers to why you do or do not wait. YES...I am one of those that love reading the comment section, I mean what is the point of this blogging to the world if I don't hear your voice??? Awkward silence... Ok...now that that is out of the way....Back to the post.

Since this is the season every one including myself stresses, wonders, stresses, questions the meaning of it all, mainly stresses over what, who, when, where should I give presents to...I in my oh-so-not-grown up knowledge of life have decided to say Merry Christmas to everyone all year long. I know, you are thinking here she goes again...trying to be different... blah, blah, blah, humbug!!!

I can take it. This too will probably last about as long as I can diet. What I am hoping to get across is I think He, our Lord and Saviour deserves to be celebrated everyday, all year long.
Duh...we all know that so...again I say Merry Christmas and may you savor the gifts He has already given you each day!!!

Betty, You are sooo right about the gifts, rush, who for, what they want and the cost of it all weighs on everyones shoulders. I have been very careful even though I am guilty of the above to remember that Chirst is the reason for this holiday and the reason we have all we do. He has truley blessed us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for responding to my blog as well. ~Rachel

Amen! Jesus is the only reason for Christmas, and He should be celebrated all year long. Especially if you consider that Jesus was probably not born in December anyway, why only celebrate Him now? Why not remember Him everyday? When we rise up, when we go about our way, when we break bread, when we speak with our families, we should remember Him.
Do you ever think as a mother, what if my child was the son of God? How would I do things differently? Mary has my compassion, my utmost respect, my heart! Oh, how unworthy am I! Yet He came for ME anyway!
Okay, rant over! "You are so right" was my point. HaHa.

AMEN sister! I think you saw me the other day at my breaking point. The stress was mounting and again today it happened when I was discussing with my mother about our Christmas plans. I just keep reminding myself that all of this other "stuff" and that is what it is "stuff" IS NOT important! What is all of this, if we dont remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas anyway! Thanks again for the reminder and yes, lets say Merry Christmas every day!
