Thanks to Kenny Chesney's song "Don't Blink" is where I came up with today's title entry. For those of you that are not country music fans, this song just reminds us to really appreciate what you have NOW because before you know it... you have blinked and it's been 50 years and then...as for me it really hasn't been 50 years yet but...MY 2 PRECIOUS GIRLS are back in school. And I feel like 50 years is coming quick!
Yes the first day of school...it is considered for most parents a day of celebration, but for me it is both a day of joy and sorrow as I watch the girls' excitement as they pack their backpacks with school supplies to run out the door to catch the big yellow bus. We all survived and even enjoyed the summer break, but whoa did it fly by!
Then...REALITY sat in that they are growing up way too fast and the questions started flooding in along with the tears:
1. Are they happy?
2. Have we done a good job?
3. Will they behave?
4. Are they going to make new friends?
5. Did they really eat their lunch I packed?
6. Did she wash her hands for at least 30 seconds?
7. Do they know we love them?
8. WHO GAVE THEM PERMISSION TO GROW UP SO FAST????
As you can see...I am THAT mom who LOVES too much and just isn't ready to let go!
I will end with a few pictures of my girls of where "I" will always remember them in my heart, though one is now known as a 4th grader and one now is known as a 1st grader:

Oh my goodness, look at Rilee and Mia! They are so little and so adorable in these pictures. Not that they arent now! I can only imagine how emotional it will be for me when Connor starts school. It will be so soon!
