This is what happens when the wives, mommies, working women, Sunday school teachers, the list goes on and on (you get the picture...) of "The Mafia" (our fun little nickname of these four special families) get together for a day...
Kyla shows her "wild" side
She even makes new friends at Fuse (a swanky new night club in Nashville where Ticka works her second job at) while in her "teacher clothes" and also holding a webkinz bag (of course we are always thinking of our children even on our "girls night away")
We stop for a picture perfect pose while at Opryland hotel
We goof off, giggle, and even aggravate each other a little and catch it on camera!
Ticka and Teresa are not too fond of how much Kyla and I love to take pictures!
Hey...we still love each other lots even with all our quirks!
Teresa and Ticka are ready to dance at Fuse, but instead pretend to be "party animals" while in Fuse meeting all the super sweet and fun-loving friends Ticka has made while working there.
We are so excited to finally be out together after planning it for about 4 years!!!
It's ok that we really don't dance up the night.
Because...the hotel room is a calling us to get in our comfy clothes to just sit, pig-out on junk food, talk about girly stuff and to not be the first one to fall asleep. Because we all know what happens to the first girl to fall asleep...some whip cream on the face or lipstick all over your face perhaps???
We are just so happy to be girls, all dressed up, making plans to eat, shop and stay the night
at a fancy hotel for a fraction of the price because we have "connections"! You rock Ticka!
But before all the night activities we, I mean ,three out of four of us get a pedicure
Because while I am staring at all the pretty nail colors, I decide I really want this instead...
So...I opt to watch all the while hoping Pangea (an eclectic fun shop is still open)
I am also daydreaming about a really classic sleek white trench coat, a silver flashy seventies dress, a maybe just a "little too short stripy dress" from yet another eclectic, fun boutique called Posh. Oh...to have a non-set spending limit...? Yeah...I am awake. It is not about the stuff!!!
I get it!!!
I even get a little vino and special treatment though I did not partake in the spa pedicure.
I think the girls are proud of me for making such a difficult decision. I am a work in progress when it comes to not going "overboard" on spending. That's a prayer request that never ceases!
WELL...
None of this fun could have ever happened without the unconditional love, encouragement, and support from OUR GUYS and sweet precious children! We appreciate you and are so happy to be back in the real world with you!
Here we are on the dancer's only stage with the spot light on us!
We are proud to be girls, servants of God, women, mothers and wives and wouldn't trade any of it for a million dollars!!!

How FUN! What a great way to get away for a while. I like you would rather have something that you can actually reuse (like your beautiful necklace) instead of a pedicure that will just wear off. Sure the relaxation is great, but hey husbands can rub feet, right? Good choice!
That was such an awesome picture to end on! I actually want a copy of that one, please!!
What a wonderful idea! I SOOOO have to do that!
I love you Betty Apple! Thank you for being extly who you are. I had so much fun with you this weekend, and am so blessed to have you as my friend....me, the wild one in teacher clothes.
