It's the 3rd day of school. I ask the girls "How was your day?" They answer the usual "good", "fine". Then, Rylee with a big smile says with lots of excitement in her voice and on her face, "I drew Daddy a picture, sorry I didn't have time to draw you one (YOU=mommy)". I smile and say "oh...how nice."
What's wrong with that you ask? Well, from birth to the end of summer break 2008, Mommy always got a picture. Yes...I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. I should be happy and overjoyed that she loves her daddy, that's she well-rounded, that she drew daddy a picture of her playing...softball!!!
Well, I am all those feelings and more. I just needed to share the seasons of life and how both a mother and daughter love each other dearly and Daddy to the ends of the Earth!!!
So...there you have it! Thanks Tara for reminding me that you can be both- a girly girl and a slugger!!!
P.S. Happy birthday-Dad!!! Love, your daughter!!!

I love all the thoughts....I have those too especially when my girls call for daddy and not me...happy and sad!
Your welcome! It is true! I can only imagine how I would feel if my child said something like that, although it is sweet how they love their Daddy's too! I love seeing Connor reach for his Da Da! But make no mistake, there is nothing better than Mama's kisses!
Ashton has plans for daddy daughter days where she wants to spend time alone with her daddy. I was told to get a babysitter for the boys so that I would be free to wait on her and daddy!
